Denise brings a diverse range of professional skills and experience to this position. She has various qualifications in administration and finance, education and childcare, facilitation and technical fields.
Amanda Locatelli
Program Manager - Tamar Estuary & Esk Rivers
The Tamar Estuary & Esk Rivers (TEER) Program represents a regional partnership between state and local government and NRM North. It aims to provide a coordinated management approach and guide solutions and strategic investment in activities that protect, maintain and enhance the Tamar Estuary and Esk River Systems. Amanda coordinates the establishment and on-going operation of the program, fosters partnerships and manages the implementation of activities in line with the Tamar Estuary Management Plan 2007.
Michael Attard
Scientific & Technical Officer, Tamar Estuary & Esk Rivers
Michael assists with the Tamar Estuary and Esk Rivers Ecosystem Health Monitoring Program. His role includes coordination of community, industry, government and expert based monitoring activities and to liaise with the general community and stakeholders. Michael worked in research for eight years at the School of Aquaculture at the University of Tasmania with a focus on animal health.
Emma Williams
Program Coordinator - Healthy Coasts & Seas
Emma’s role is to coordinate projects and activities that support the management of our coastal, marine and wetland ecosystems across northern Tasmania. Originally from far north Queensland, Emma completed her Bachelor of Science (Environmental Science) on the Sunshine Coast, where she was also employed as an environmental consultant.
Adrian James
Landcare Facilitator
Adrian’s position is to provide oversight for the Productive Landscapes Program, advancing sustainable productive agriculture in the region. With a Masters degree in Environmental Management, Adrian has worked as a Landcare coordinator, researcher and project leader for extensive grazing industries.
Andrew Baldwin
Knowledge Coordinator
As Knowledge coordinator, Andrew facilitates the collection and distribution of knowledge and data. This includes the co-ordination, collection, interpretation and use of scientific information at a regional and sub-regional level, and the identification of knowledge gaps and research needs for the region.
Greg Stewart
Weeds Co-ordinator
As Weeds coordinator, Greg works with all stakeholders across the region to co-ordinate the implementation of the high priority actions identified in the Weed Action Plan for the Northern NRM Region. Education and awareness and regional co-ordination to ensure best practice weed management is the focus. Support will also be provided for community groups and land managers to undertake effective on-ground weed control.
Jo Voller
Coordinator - Property Managment Planning
Jo's role is to manage and develop activities within the Productive Landscapes Program, foster partnerships with stakeholders and ensure the program grows to fulfil NRM North’s regional priorities. Jo grew up in northern Tasmania and studied Agricultural Science at the University of Tasmania in Hobart. Initially spending time in the aquaculture industry, she has spent the last 12 years on the Darling Downs in southern Queensland working in and studying land and riverine management and sustainable living.
Debbie Searle
Project Officer - Monitoring and Improvement
Debbie helps run our community water monitoring team, utilising the services of accredited monitoring staff and community Waterwatch to fill out the gaps in our region's water quality monitoring programs.
Debbie brings a wealth of community development and water quality monitoring experience to the role, as both the long standing coordinator of Dorset Waterwatch and as an inaugural member of the NRM North management committee.
Michael Black
Education Officer
Michael's role is to improve the understanding of, and engagement in, natural resource management by the communty as a whole and school students in particular. Michael is a qualified teacher and marine ecologist and has worked in both areas. He combines his ecological knowledge with an understanding of school students and how to communicate with them through appropriate language and innovative presentations.

Jay Wilson is the main point of contact for NRM matters in the Dorset municipality, employed under a partnership agreement between the Dorset Council and NRM North. Key functions include strategic assistance with funding proposals, partnership development and NRM communications.

Monique is the main point of contact for NRM matters in the Northern Midlands municipality, employed under a partnership agreement between the Northern Midlands Council and NRM North. Her key functions include strategic assistance with funding proposals, partnership development and NRM communications.

Based within Tamar NRM, this role is to facilitate the involvement of the community in NRM activities within the George Town, West Tamar and Launceston municipalities. Key functions include strategic assistance with funding proposals, support for community groups, and NRM communications.
