James McKee Chief Executive Officer
James's role as Chief Executive Officer is to oversee the strategic direction of NRM North.
James previously worked as the Operations Manager at NRM North and in the Queensland Murray Darling Basin in regional NRM planning and investment planning, monitoring and evaluation, project management and reporting.
James comes from a farming background in broad acre and intensive agriculture and has undertaken formal studies in agricultural science and sustainable agriculture management.
Scott Schilg
Manager - Planning & Implementation
Scott's position encompasses a broad range of responsibilities including managing program staff, NRM strategy development & implementation, development of funding proposals, coordinating works programs and reporting to funding bodies.
Scott has completed a Bachelor of Applied Science and currently completing an MBA in Marine Resource Management. He has worked in NRM for over five years and has previously worked in the aquaculture industry in management positions.
Melissa Lewarn Manager - Community Engagement & Communications
Melissa’s role is to lead NRM North's community engagement team and raise awareness of natural resource management in the northern region through media events and community functions.
Melissa has worked as a journalist for 15 years including a position as Journalist In Charge of a busy bi-media newsroom in northern Tasmania. For most of her career, Melissa has been responsible for reporting on environmental and agricultural issues.
Fiona George Manager - Corporate Services
Fiona is responsible for NRM North’s financial management and reporting, contract management, legal compliance and human resources. Fiona has a background in public accounting and is an MYOB certified consultant.
